This provides a broad range of cardiovascular services within specialist medical consulting rooms in Concord Hospital Medical Centre. Seamless integration into in-patient services is provided at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and also within Strathfield Private Hospital and the Mater Hospital. Our cardiologists have expertise in a broad range of adult cardiac conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, high blood pressure or hypertension, heart failure, dyslipidaemia and risk factor modification and heart rhythm disorders. We also have specific interest and expertise in preventative cardiology and high risk heart disease such as that associated with diabetes and pulmonary hypertension.

A broad range of non-invasive cardiac investigations are performed by our specialists and technicians including cardiac ultrasound or echocardiography including Doppler study, exercise or stress echocardiography, 24-hour ECG or holter monitoring, and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure recording. In-hospital more detailed cardiac investigations are also performed by our specialists including coronary angiography, intra-coronary pressure measurements and specialist intra-coronary imaging.

Complex cardiac treatments are also performed including coronary angioplasty, coronary stenting, and intracardiac ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as pacemaker and other intracardiac device implantations.
